French teas from the Pyrenees.

All teas from the "Les Terrasses de l'Arrieulat" plantation are the result of artisanal and agroecological work initiated by Lucas Ben Moura . The plantation is located at an altitude of 550 meters in Argelès-Gazost. A wetland on the land, the Gave d'Azun which passes below the plantation, and the forests create a humid microclimate favorable to the acclimatization of Camelia sinensis . Lucas chose to name the plantation after the walk along the Gave: l'Arrieulat.
This adventure began in 2020 with the planting of plants of Chinese origin, of unknown origin and acclimatized in Brittany for decades, of South Korean origin, of Nepalese origin and also plants from seeds harvested in different plantations in Europe. Each year the farmer continues to integrate new varieties to continue his work of research and genetic selection.
The harvests and processing are designed to preserve all the richness of the fresh leaves, whose slow growth in a capricious mountain environment has concentrated the juices and rounded the tannins. We aim to discover the identity of our terroir and the originality of each harvest, revealed by simple, natural, and mastered processing techniques.

Information: This tea is sold exclusively in our physical stores in Bordeaux and Pau due to very limited quantities.
