The Labroom, a hotspot for cultural and community life in Bordeaux.
Located in the heart of the Saint Paul district at 4 bis rue Buhan in Bordeaux, the Labroom is a hybrid and collaborative place, a true Third Place that is a continuation of LaboratoireBX, the contemporary art gallery co-founded by Freddy Thuon and Laurent Chiffoleau. At once an associative café, an art gallery, a yoga room, an artistic scene, a place hosting pyrography workshops, the meeting place for Amapiens of Bordeaux-centre, ... In short, an essential address for artists and residents of Bordeaux

Under the name La Buhanderie (still located at 4 bis rue Buhan!) lies the Labroom's stage hub. Programming director Tom Juquel, a musician himself, has curated a selection of choices: monthly stand-up comedy nights called "Lab Comedy Club," concerts on Thursday nights, and drag shows.

The Labroom, a place of life, conviviality and diversity in Bordeaux.
The Labroom is also the perfect illustration of the concept of Third Place defined by the American sociologist Ray Oldenburg in the late 1980s and more relevant than ever in the era of urban development in the Bordeaux metropolis. A hybrid space between home and work that facilitates meetings and exchanges between different populations in the neighborhood: a precious Labroom in the heart of the old town where you can pick up your weekly basket of vegetables, where you can stop by for a tea or coffee, and where you can practice Yoga sessions...

The Labroom welcomes the AMAP Bordeaux-centre
An AMAP (Association pour le Maintien de l'Agriculture Paysanne) is an association for the preservation of peasant agriculture. Consumers subscribe to various contracts with agricultural producers. This short-circuit trade creates a link between town and country.
Since 2010, the Bordeaux center AMAP has been offering fruit and vegetable baskets (the producer is Philippe Laville from Pot'à'laville in Bruges), egg contracts (the producer is Nicolas Capeyron from Biomajolan in Taillan-Médoc) and also a strawberry distribution (the producer is Floriane Laville from Fraisiflor in Bruges)! Meet us every Thursday at 4Bis rue Buhan to stock up on supplies.
