Prepare your gourmet Chai latte at home
Did you know that Chai Latte has been a national drink in India for decades? On every street corner, you'll find a shop preparing its "secret" Chai Latte recipe. This iconic Indian drink is served in disposable earthenware cups. Today, we're sharing with you our recipe for this delicious drink that accompanies us from the first drop in temperature!
For 2 large mugs of Chai latte (about 1/2 liter)
Ingredients
- 500ml of cow's milk (or vegetable milk of your choice, almond, rice, hazelnut)
- 10 g of Masala chai tea from Un Air de Thé
- two tablespoons of white sugar or agave syrup
- For decoration: cinnamon sticks and powder, star anise, cardamom, etc.
Preparation of Chai Latte
In a saucepan, boil the milk, tea, and sugar for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and let it steep for another 5 minutes, covered. Strain and pour into two mugs. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and garnish with a cinnamon stick, an anise star (badian), and cardamom seeds.
